Tip of the week:
After installing the Oracle Database client on Windows Server 2008 R2, the Oracle Provider for OLE DB drivers are not available in the Oracle Document Capture's Batch Setup Provider/driver tab, when configuring the Oracle Document Capture database connection.
This issue is caused by a combination of factors; Windows Server 2008 R2 is a 64-bit only operating system, and Oracle Document Capture is a 32-bit application. 32-bit applications operate within WoW on 64-bit editions of Windows, which means it can only see or access other 32-bit applications or drivers.
Solution
To resolve the problem, you must install the 32-bit version of the Oracle database client drivers on this system.
